General description of the institution

The Faculty of Science is a successor of the Faculty of Biological Sciences founded in 1991.


Faculty of Science offers Bachelor, Master and Doctoral levels of study in an array of biological disciplines as well as in chemistry, informatics, mathematics, physics, and technical fields of science.


Bachelor study programmes supply students with the basic knowledge necessary either for subsequent Master studies or for practical professiona employment.


Master study programmes are open to any student who successfully finished a Bachelor programme, in ideal case related to the chosen Master program field.
