LABORATORY OF MOLECULAR PLANT-MICROBE INTERACTIONS

Research

In 2019 was a big congress on MPMI (molecular plant-microbe interactions) topic in Glasgow (IS-MPMI Congress 2019, over 1400 participants). On the congress were defined the top10 questions in MPMI research field, which in fact research field of our lab (we recommend you to read a review about TOP10 questions here).  In our research we would like to touch especially these questions from top10: 1) How do plants evolve novel virulence activities 2) How does abiotic stress, such as climate change, influence plant-microbe interactions? 3) How can we translate basic research into emerging crop plants?

More about our research is below:

Aims of the research:

1) Role of extracellular vesicles in plant-microbe interactions

2) Usage of liposomes in plant protection

3) salicylic acid signalling pathway

4) MPMI of poppy
