Stable Isotopes Course: AN INTRODUCTION TO USES IN ECOLOGY AND PLANT PHYSIOLOGY
We are pleased to invite you to participate in the 20th Stable Isotopes Course, titled "An Introduction to Uses in Ecology and Plant Physiology". This course is designed for students interested in gaining knowledge and practical skills in the application of stable isotopes.
Participants will begin by exploring the basic principles of stable isotopes, gaining a clear understanding of how these tools can be used to trace processes in nature. The course will then introduce applications in ecology and plant physiology, such as studying plant–water relationships, carbon and nitrogen cycling, and ecosystem interactions.
To reinforce the theoretical foundations, students will engage in a case study, where they will work directly with isotope data and apply their knowledge to solve an ecological or physiological research question. This practical component is designed to give participants valuable experience in interpreting and working with real data.
This course offers a supportive learning environment, ideal for those who are new to isotope research or those looking to refresh and expand their understanding.
