Appendix No. 1 to the Dean's Provision
on the organization of the academic year 2019/2020 for all study programmes and fields
(Academic calendar 2019/2020)

With regard to the interruption of teaching caused by measures related to the SARS-CoV-2 epidemic and following the Rector's Measure No. 423, I announce an update of the Dean's Provision on the organization of the academic year (2019/2020) for all study programmes.

The dates of the academic calendar for the summer semester are amended as follows:

Submission of bachelor's and master's theses and application for state final examinations in bachelor's and master's programmes 22. 5. 2020
Defense of diploma theses and master state final examinations except cross-border programmes 13. – 17.7. 2020
Defense of bachelor theses except cross-border programmes 13. – 17.7. 2020
Bachelor state final examinations except cross-border programmes 20. – 24.7.2020
Defense of theses and final state exams of cross-border programmes 13. – 31. 7. 20201
The examiner shall publish the examination dates at the latest 3. 8. 2020
Week for course credit units (´zapocet´) obtention 24. – 28. 8. 2020
Examination period for summer semester ends 30. 9. 2020
Applications for the bachelor study in the main term 15. 5. 2020
Applications for the master study 22. 5. 2020
Entrance examinations for bachelor studies in the main term 14. 7. 2020

Other changes:

  • Lectures will be realized continuously with maximum use of distance learning.
  • Practical exercises that cannot be replaced by distance learning will be realized in blocks in the period June - August according to the schedule published by the faculty during May. In justified cases, changes in the term of block teaching are allowed by the Vice-Dean.
  • Credits and examinations can be carried out continuously, students must be informed about the date at least three weeks in advance, but no later than August 3, 2020.

Other terms, including the electronic registration for the winter semester of the academic year 2020/2021 or the duties of study control at the latest three working days before the state final examination remain valid.
