If you wish to come to our faculty as an Erasmus+ student, firstly check with your home institutional coordinator, whether your university has a valid Erasmus+ Agreement with Faculty of Science, University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice. If yes, then ask your home coordinators about the selection and nomination process at your home institution.
Your home university must officially nominate you for a study stay via e-mail (firstname.lastname@example.org). The information provided should include:
Name and surname
Date of birth
Study area according to an agreement
Level of Study (Undergraduate, Master, Doctorate)
Period of mobility (Fall, Spring or whole year)
After receiving the official nomination sent by home university, a nominated student will receive an information e-mail with the web link to reach online application.
Nomination / Application deadlines
For winter semester (begins 1 September): 30 May / 15 June of the same calendar year
For summer semester (begins approx. 15 February): 30 November / 15 December of the previous calendar year
All incoming Erasmus students will take the Oxford Placement Test after arrival in order to ensure that their level of English is not lower than B1 according to CEFR. Those who will not reach 41 points will not be allowed to enroll to any courses provided by the Faculty of Science, University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice, and therefore will not be able to accomplish their Erasmus study plan at the University of South Bohemia.
A mock test can be taken before arrival on-line on www.oxfordenglishtesting.com with the assistance of your local Oxford Placement Test representative. We recommend that you take the mock test to be sure you will pass the test here.
Erasmus students are recommended to take the course OJZ 540, English autonomously – for Erasmus students, which is tailor-made to meet their needs. They can also attend any English courses offered by the Language Department.
