Objectives

Workshop aims on generation and deposition of nanoparticles using low temperature plasma. Main scope of the workshop is following:
1.  Growth of nanoparticles in gas aggregation cluster source
2.  Characterization of particles and particle beams
3.  Deposition of nanostructured and nanocomposite films
4.  Application of nanoparticles and nanostructured/nanocomposite films

room

České Budějovice

Workshop will be held in the capital of South Bohemia - in České Budějovice (Budweis). České Budějovice is the royal city founded by Přemysl Otakar II in the year 1265 at the confluence of the Vltava and Malše rivers. Near to České Budějovice there is city Český Krumlov, which is on the UNESCO list. There is also great beer Budweiser Budvar around.

Introduction

The workshop originated six years ago in Sankt Peter-Ording 2012 as rather informal meeting of German and Czech research groups focused on nanoparticles formed in low temperature plasma and their applications. Since that time, two workshops were already organized in PRAGUE 2014 and in Lubeck 2016. The 4th workshop will be organized in May 2018 in České Budějovice, the metropole of South Bohemian region. Two-days workshop is going to create a stimulating environment for presentation of last results from the field together with lively discussion among participants in friendly atmosphere. Based on previous meetings, participation of 30 active participants, not only from German and Czech research groups, is expected. Everyone interested in the workshop scope is cordially welcomed. Join us!

    Social Event
We will organize a short trip to Cesky Krumlov on Friday, May 11th afternoon for those who plan to depart on Saturday. Cesky Krumlov is a stunningly well-preserved medieval town nestled in tight meanders of the Vltava River. Its historic centre, spread around the Cesky Krumlov Castle, is a designated UNESCO World Heritage. Depending on the number of interested participants, we plan to walk through the historical city, visit castle courtyard and garden and together enjoy a dinner in some cosy restaurant.
