Department for Internal Evaluation

The Department for Internal Evaluation at the Faculty of Science of the University of South Bohemia plays an important role in improving the quality of higher education and research at the faculty. Its main task is to ensure and evaluate the quality of study programs. The Department carefully coordinates and manages the activities of the Study Program Boards at the faculty, thereby ensuring the quality of the evaluation processes. It also coordinates the activities of the Board of Study Program Guarantors, especially in the process of approving new courses.

The Department for Internal Evaluation cooperates with the relevant departments of other faculties of the University of South Bohemia and with the Internal Evaluation Board of the University of South Bohemia, which allows sharing best practices, experiences and tools in the field of assessing the quality of teaching and preparing accreditation applications/reaccreditation of study programs for all levels of study at the university.

When preparing and submitting an accreditation application for a study program, it is essential that the guarantor of the study program proceed according to the standard norms and requirements set by the National Accreditation Office for Tertiary Education or, in the case of institutional accreditation, by the Internal Evaluation Board of the University of South Bohemia. The Department for Internal Evaluation guides the guarantor through the accreditation process and supervises compliance with these rules, which is crucial for the successful acquisition of accreditation of the study program at the faculty.

The Department for Internal Evaluation:

• mediates communication with the Department for Internal Evaluation of the University of South Bohemia (regular participation in meetings of the quality coordinators of the University of South Bohemia) and the Internal Evaluation Board of the University of South Bohemia
• cooperates with the relevant departments of other faculties of the University of South Bohemia, especially in the issue of the creation and administration of interfaculty study programs
• provides support to guarantors in the process of accreditation of new study programs and administers their creation
• implements changes in study programs
• ensures adjustments to study plans in Stag, including the transcription of information into the program webpages
• coordinates the activities of individual Study Program Boards
• coordinates the activities of the Board of Study Program Guarantors, organizes its regular meetings
• cooperates with the Department of Student Affairs in the creation of new courses and implements the process of approving new courses by the Board of Study Program Guarantors
• assists guarantors in preparing control reports, self-evaluation reports and their supplements
• cooperates in preparing the Annual Report on the activities and processing the internal evaluation of the Faculty of Science
• manages and updates the team of the Department for Internal Evaluation in MS Teams
