With this mural, I aim to convey a message of care, belonging, sharing, and connection. Today, more than ever, we are undeniably facing an environmental crisis that affects the entire planet. That is why I chose to include these animals in the project.
The wall designated for the mural is part of the Faculty of Science, which I believe is a perfect host. This faculty conducts vital environmental research that directly impacts our future. The new generations emerging from these studies will have the opportunity to improve our world.
In the mural, you will find a Eurasian lynx—an endangered species that is fortunately protected in Bohemia, one of the few places in Europe where it still survives. I have also included a white heron, a bird typical of this region. Both animals wear necklaces that appear to come from an ancient civilization. These are symbols of an imaginary past in which humanity and nature moved in harmony. They serve as an invitation to look within ourselves and rediscover a connection with our wild side.
As a backdrop, there is a stylized beech forest designed to highlight the central figures. This choice reflects the unique beech forests found in Bohemia, which are rare in Europe.
