Laboratory of Archaeobotany and Palaeoecology would like to invite you to the 18th meeting of the

Conference of Environmental Archaeology 2026

which will be held on 4 to 6 February 2026 in B building of the Faculty of Science, University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice (Branišovská 1716/31c, České Budějovice)

The upcoming Conference of Environmental Archaeology will not be defined by a single overarching theme but will offer several topics that reflect the diversity and breadth of current research. Contributions devoted to the use of plants and animals, landscape archaeology, geoarchaeology, or analysis of organic residues and isotopes will be included. However, it is not closed to other topics that deal with broader questions of the relationship between culture and the environment.

Please send a binding application and abstract of the contribution (max. 500 words + max. 10 references + max. 3 figures) by 15. 12. 2025 via the registration form.
You will make the payment by February 2, 2026 via the e-shop either as regular participants (with a fee of 1500 CZK) or as presenting students (with a reduced fee of 1000 CZK).
Conference language is Czech with selected lectures in English.
