The Department of Botany contributed to the European Sustainable Development Week with two events:
On Sunday, 4 October 2026, a nature walk for the public took place in the Faculty Garden and the adjacent parts of the campus. The event was organized with the participation of experts from the Departments of Botany, Zoology, and Ecosystem Biology, as well as the Calla association.
On Monday, 5 October 2026, students, staff, and friends of the Faculty volunteered for an autumn work day in the Faculty Garden. The participants turned the compost, removed cattails from the pond, repaired the insect hotel, and weeded and replanted plants in various parts of the garden.
We would like to thank everyone who contributed to the successful organization of both events.
