Minisymposium Czech Society of Experimental Plant Biology 15.6. 2026
We invite you to the 2026 Minisymposium of the Czech Society for Experimental Plant Biology, which will take place on Monday, June 15, 2026, in České Budějovice.
The event builds on a long tradition of research in experimental plant biology in České Budějovice. The Minisymposium will feature nine presentations by leading Czech scientists and early-career researchers from universities and research institutions across the Czech Republic. This will be followed by a plenary session of CSEPB members.
The program will also include the very first presentation of the Jan Krekule Award for lifetime contributions to experimental plant biology, with Prof. Jaroslav Doležel from the Institute of Experimental Botany of the Czech Academy of Sciences as its first laureate.
The minisymposium will take place in Building C of the Faculty of Science at the University of South Bohemia (Branišovská 1760, Room C2 and the adjacent atrium). Registration for participants begins at 9:00 a.m.; the scientific program will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., followed by the CSEPB plenary meeting.
Registration is open until June 8, 2026. Admission to the event is free for CSEPB members.
Refreshments will be provided, including various homemade products and summer beer from the Strakonice Brewery ;).
