We would like to introduce a new educational resource, Organic Name Reaction Flashcards, created by Ing. Václav Chmela, Ph.D. from Masaryk University and published by the University of Chemistry and Technology, Prague (UCT Prague) in 2026.
The set contains 50 classic named reactions in organic chemistry, ranging from the Diels-Alder reaction to Swern oxidation. Each flashcard provides a concise overview of the reaction scheme, conditions, mechanism, and a representative example from the scientific literature. The flashcards are written in English and can serve as a useful study aid for students preparing for examinations as well as for those wishing to strengthen their knowledge of organic chemistry.
The resource has also been recommended by Nobel Prize laureate Benjamin List, who described it as a valuable learning tool for students of organic chemistry.
