Polar and alpine research conference 2026 will be organised by Centre for Polar Ecology, University of South Bohemia, České Budějovice, Czechia. The conference is intended to promote sharing of knowledge on recent advances in polar science of both Arctic and Antarctic. We would like to support enhanced networking especially among students and early career researchers. For that reason, the conference is free of charge.
The conference will be held in the lecture room of Centre for Polar Ecology (Na Zlaté stoce 3, České Budějovice) on 17 – 18 september 2026.

Abstract guidelines
The official language of the conference is English and all the contributions should be submitted and presented in English. Please, send us a MS Word document (*.doc, *.docx) with maximum 400 words.
Oral presentation
Your oral presentation should fit within 12-minute time slot (+3 minutes for discussion). In case the total number of participants should be too high to fit in the conference schedule, some contributions might be changed from oral presentation to poster (the corresponding author will be notified by e-mail about the change).
Poster presentation
The maximum size of the poster should be A0 (84 x 120 cm) with the "potrait" orientation.
