Representatives of the University of South Bohemia Visit Vilnius University and Sunrise Valley Science and Technology Park in Lithuania
As part of the OP JAK project “Development of the University of South Bohemia – Research Environment”, Jana Elsterová and Lenka Špalková, representatives of the Project Offices of the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Agriculture and Technology at the University of South Bohemia, undertook a professional visit to Vilnius University and Sunrise Valley Science and Technology Park in Lithuania from 13 to 16 October 2026.
The primary objective of the visit was to exchange experience and best practices in technology transfer, commercialisation of research results, and innovation support. Both representatives, who also serve as Technology Transfer and Innovation Scouts at their respective faculties, gained valuable insights into the approaches adopted by Lithuanian institutions to strengthen collaboration between academic research and industry and to foster the development of a dynamic innovation ecosystem.
The visit also helped identify new opportunities for international research and innovation collaboration, particularly in the fields of laser technologies and photonics, biotechnology with a focus on medical technologies, digital technologies, green technologies (greentech), and clean technologies (cleantech).
Researchers and research teams at the University of South Bohemia interested in establishing collaboration with these Lithuanian institutions are warmly encouraged to contact us. We would be pleased to facilitate connections and help explore potential opportunities for joint research and innovation activities. For further information, please contact us at
